Welcome to Housing in Place! Urban Ecologies Design Lab and Habitat for Humanity Hong Kong launched the Housing in Place Emergency Shelter and Community Space with a limited-capacity, physical event. Located in densely populated Jordan district of Hong Kong, the facilities will deliver much needed social services and emergency housing to the communities.

The guests were welcomed with inaugural remarks by Donald Choi of Chinachem and HKIA and Jo Hayes, CEO of Habitat for Humanity Hong Kong, followed by project lecture by Prof. Juan Du, Project Leader and Director of Urban Ecologies Design Lab. During guided architectural tours through the Emergency Shelter floors, design intention and features were demonstrated, explained and discussed. Finished with passionate conversations about next stages with collaborating NGOs Praxis and Impact HK, the opening was a great success.

We look forward to the project serving the Jordan and TST communities.
